IMAK® Copper Knee Sleeve | Copper-Infused Mild Compression

The IMAK® Copper Knee Sleeve by Brownmed is a soft pull-on knee support made with copper-infused nylon and mild compression. It is designed to fit either the right or left knee and is available in two sizes based on leg circumference.

Unlike a hinged knee brace or adjustable wrap, this sleeve has no rigid framework or straps. Its role is straightforward: flexible knee coverage, mild compression, and a low-profile fabric construction for everyday wear.

If you prefer a cotton-rich sleeve with a vented back and a broader five-size range, compare the IMAK Compression Arthritis Knee Sleeve.

L/XL 19–21 in. A22131

What Makes the Copper Knee Sleeve Different?

Three features distinguish it from Balego's other IMAK knee support.

1. Copper-infused nylon construction

Copper-infused nylon makes up 60% of the published material content. The remainder is polyester, rubber threads, and spandex.

The copper-infused fabric is addressing odor-causing bacteria.

That is separate from claiming that copper itself treats arthritis or heals an injured knee.

2. Two simple size ranges

Instead of a five-size XS–XL system, the Copper Knee Sleeve uses just the following:

  • M/L: 17–19 inches

  • L/XL: 19–21 inches

This makes sizing simple, but it also means the product covers a narrower range of leg circumferences than our IMAK Arthritis Knee Sleeve.

3. Reversible right-or-left fit

The copper knee sleeve is reversible for use on either knee.

There is no need to purchase separate right- and left-knee versions.

Copper Knee Sleeve vs. Other Supports

Product Main body area Construction Sizes Best fit when...
IMAK Copper Knee Sleeve Knee Copper-infused nylon blend M/L, L/XL You want a simple copper-infused mild-compression sleeve
IMAK Arthritis Knee Sleeve Knee 92% cotton / 8% spandex XS–XL Breathability, vented-back construction or more sizing choices matter
IMAK Shin Sleeve Calf and shin Neoprene S–XL Support is needed below the knee rather than around the joint
Uni-Patch Elastic Wrap with Velcro Closure User-selected area Elastic wrap Multiple widths/lengths Adjustable wrapping or securing another therapy product is the goal

Copper Knee Sleeve vs. IMAK Arthritis Knee Sleeve

These two products are easy to confuse, but they are meaningfully different.

Feature Copper Knee Sleeve Arthritis Knee Sleeve
Main distinguishing material Copper-infused nylon Cotton-rich fabric
Published composition 60% copper-infused nylon, 16% polyester, 14% rubber threads, 10% spandex 92% cotton, 8% spandex
Compression Mild Mild
Rear vented panel Not a defining feature Yes
Tri-band anti-roll section Not a defining feature Yes
Size range M/L–L/XL XS–XL
Right/left specific No No
Rigid brace No No

The IMAK Arthritis Knee Sleeve already provides detailed information on its vented back, closed-patella design, tri-band retention, and five-size fitting system, so those subjects do not need to be repeated here.

Is the Copper Knee Sleeve a Knee Brace?

It is more accurately described as a soft compression knee sleeve.

It does not provide the rigid hinges, side stays, adjustable straps, or immobilizing structure associated with more substantial orthopedic knee braces.

Choose this type of sleeve when mild fabric compression and flexible movement are the goal. If a clinician has specified a hinged brace, immobilizer, patellar-stabilizing device, or another particular orthosis, do not substitute a soft sleeve solely because it is more comfortable or easier to put on.

What Does the Copper Do?

The strongest product description is also the simplest:

Copper is incorporated into the fabric.

Current product materials support describing the product as a copper-infused compression sleeve and state that the fabric addresses odor-causing bacteria.

Mild Compression Without a Published mmHg Rating

The knee sleeve is providing mild compression, but it does not provide a graduated pressure rating in mmHg.

This product is a flexible knee support sleeve rather than graduated medical compression hosiery.

How to Choose Between the Two Sizes

Because this product has only two size ranges, measuring before ordering is especially important.

  1. Locate the center of the kneecap.

  2. Measure 4 inches up the thigh.

  3. Wrap a flexible tape around the leg at that point.

  4. Keep the tape level without pulling it deeply into the skin.

  5. Compare the measurement with the chart.

Choose M/L for 17–19 inches or L/XL for 19–21 inches.

For substantially smaller or larger measurements, the IMAK Arthritis Knee Sleeve provides a broader XS–XL size range.

Care Instructions

Brownmed specifies:

Hand wash cold and air dry.

Follow the product label supplied with the sleeve and inspect the fabric periodically for stretching or damage that changes the fit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Evelyn ★★★★★

I’ve been wearing this sleeve on my morning walks and the mild compression feels supportive without pinching, and the copper-infused fabric doesn’t get that weird smell after a sweaty day.

Avery ★★★★★

After a long shift on my feet, I was skeptical, but the mild compression on this knee sleeve really helped take the edge off. The copper-infused nylon material is soft against my skin and doesn't dig in. Everything stays put, which is exactly what I needed.

Samuel ★★★★★

I’ve been wearing this knee sleeve during my morning walks and the mild compression is just right—supportive without being too tight. The copper-infused fabric feels soft against my skin and hasn’t caused any irritation. It’s been a solid, comfortable choice for daily use.
