Roscoe Medical® TENS 3000 Dual-Channel Analog TENS Unit

The Roscoe Medical TENS 3000 is a compact prescription TENS device that combines straightforward physical controls with microprocessor-regulated output. It is designed for users and clinicians who prefer direct adjustment of intensity, pulse rate, and pulse width without navigating digital menus.

Two isolated output channels allow the use of one or two complete electrode pairs. Each channel has its intensity control, making it possible to adjust the two placements separately. Three stimulation patterns—Normal, Burst, and Modulation—provide steady, rhythmic, or automatically changing TENS output.

A clear safety cap covers the amplitude controls to help reduce unintended changes after the intensity has been set. The complete kit includes the device, two lead wires, four reusable electrodes, a 9-volt battery, a carrying case, and an instruction manual.

Sale by or on the order of a physician or licensed practitioner. Use it under the continuing supervision and instructions of a qualified healthcare professional.

For complete operating, electrode-placement, cleaning, and safety information, read our TENS 3000 Instruction Manual Guide.

Understanding the three TENS modes

Mode Output behavior Typical sensation
Normal / Standard Delivers a continuous pulse pattern using the selected pulse rate and width Consistent tingling, buzzing or tapping
Burst Delivers groups of pulses twice per second; internal pulse frequency is fixed at 100 Hz Slower, rhythmic pulsing
Modulation Automatically varies the pulse rate through a repeating cycle Changing or wave-like stimulation

Normal mode provides direct control of the selected settings. Burst mode groups multiple pulses into a rhythmic pattern. Modulation varies the output to help reduce sensory accommodation to an unchanging signal.

For a broader explanation, see TENS Modes Illustrated: Burst, Normal, Modulation, SD1, and SD2.

Physical controls

Control Function
Channel 1 intensity dial Turns on and adjusts the first electrode pair
Channel 2 intensity dial Turns on and adjusts the second electrode pair
Mode selector Selects Burst, Normal or Modulation
Pulse-width dial Adjusts the duration of each pulse
Pulse-rate dial Adjusts pulses delivered per second
Timer selector Selects timed or continuous operation
Safety cap Helps protect the controls from accidental movement
LED Indicates pulse output and device operation

The slide cover and safety cap help protect the controls after the treatment parameters have been selected.

How the two channels work

Each channel requires a complete electrode pair.

Setup Pads used How it functions
Channel 1 only 2 One complete current pathway
Channel 2 only 2 A second complete current pathway
Both channels 4 Two separately adjustable electrode pairs
One or three pads 1 or 3 Does not create a complete circuit for every active channel

Separate intensity controls are useful because skin resistance, electrode condition, and placement may cause one pair to feel stronger than the other. Start both channels at zero and increase them independently. The two channels are isolated and independently controllable.

Labeled indications

The FDA summary identifies the TENS 3000 for the following:

  • Symptomatic relief of chronic intractable pain

Replacement electrodes and lead wires

Replacement pads

The TENS 3000 uses conventional wired stimulation electrodes rather than proprietary wireless pads.

For replacement options, compare Balego TENS/NMES/FES electrodes. Balego offers reusable round, square, and rectangular pads for compatible standard-pin electrotherapy lead wires.

Replacement lead wires

The TENS lead wire, model WW3005, is approved for use with the TENS 3000. Each package contains two lead wires.

Our 45-Inch TENS/NMES Lead Wires is the appropriate replacement formatfor the TENS 3000.

Customer Reviews (4.6 / 5 · 5 reviews)

Ava W. ★★★★★

The three modes give me enough variety to target different pain spots, and the compact size makes it easy to toss in my bag for use during the day. Works great for my lower back after long hours at the desk.

Ellie ★★★★★

The intensity knobs on this unit are surprisingly precise, letting me dial in just the right level for my lower back. I've been using the three built-in modes interchangeably, and each one gives a noticeably different feel to target different muscle groups.

Joseph ★★★★★

I was surprised at how much relief the dual channel mode gives me—being able to target two tight spots at once cuts my therapy time in half. The three mode settings let me dial in just the right pulse, and the knobs are a lot more intuitive than fiddling with a phone app.
